The First Event

to celebrate 100 years of AHS Grads is this Friday, Sept 21.  It is a tailgate prior to the AHS Homecoming football game, 5 to 7 PM, under the big tent located between Northview School and the Football Stadium at 1302 N Ankeny Blvd.  Tailgate is $5. Meal served by Hy V, sandwich, chips and drink.  Tailgate and game ticket is $10.  There will be a section reserved for AHS Alums.  Also on sale will be the 100 Years of AHS Grads tee shirt for $10, they are maroon and they are GRRRREAT. The Alumni Assoc will also be selling tumblers for $10.  And a special for Friday only, pay your yearly dues at a discount rate of only $5, Sept 21 only.  Everyone paying dues will qualify for doorprizes at this event.  This will be a fun party to kick off the year long celebration of 100 year of AHS Grads, hope to see yáll at this event.  OOH RAH  OOH RAH...........

AHS Alummi Tailgate Party

Alumni Band Performance

Did you play in the AHS marching band while in high school? The first event to kick off a year of events for the 100th graduation class from AHS will be at Homecoming, Friday, September 21, 2012. Rick Hermann has organized the Alumni Marching Band group. On facebook search for Ankeny Band. They will have ONE practice, Thursday, September 20, 2012 at AHS football practice field, 7 PM. This field is located behind the NEW high school building located on South Ankeny Blvd. You can drive to the field via Ordnance Road, turning south at Cherry Street. Bring your horn. There will be a limited number of instruments available. Come join the band, if you don't want to play your instrument, just march with the group or cheer them on. The only song you will be playing is the AHS Fight Song....ooh rah ooh rah.....
