Time to get ready
for the FOUR class reunion. A letter will be in the mail/email very soon to advise yáll of what we have planned for the long week end, July 11-14, 2013. It all surrounds food, drink and talk.............throw in a parade, more food, the beer tent and more talk..............we will also take photos and laugh @ the program, sing along to high school music, cry when we see a photo of a deceased high school friend, cringe when we see that teacher that failed us..........not my fault!!!Some of our coaches will attend also.
The HS girls basketball team made a fine showing @ state tournament this year, but were defeated by the eventual champs. The boys team lost in the final game before state. The next seasons on the calendar, track and field, golf, then softball and baseball to wrap up 100 years of AHS grads. The Alumni group is try ing to make a new diploma with the 100 y ear designation on it. We will also be offering the commenorative tee shirt, 100 y ears of AHS Grads, with the old Hawk and the current Hawk. I hope you have placed the dates on your calendar and will come home this summer. See yáll in JULY..............OOH RAH OOH RAH.................

Being a Winter Texan
means you are constantly doing something.....I work three days a week @ the Double Bogey Bar and Grill, located at the Park's golf course. That leaves four days to goof off, usually spent in the swimming pool or planning my 5th annual Susan G Komen golf event, or golfing. No excuse, I was planning to keep y'all updated all winter long and have not been doing my job.
We have received ideas from several classmates and will be incorporating them into the program.
Our date is still July 13, 2013, at the Big Red Shed, 4 miles east of town on First Street. And this past week the Ankeny residents voted YES, to elementary school #10 or #11 (I can't keep track anymore). Ankeny is not a sleepy little town anymore, come on home this summer and have a look around. OOH RAH OOH RAH
