Being a Winter Texan

means you are constantly doing something.....I work three days a week @ the Double Bogey Bar and Grill, located at the Park's golf course. That leaves four days to goof off, usually spent in the swimming pool or planning my 5th annual Susan G Komen golf event, or golfing.  No excuse, I was planning to keep  y'all updated all winter long and have not been doing my job.
We have received ideas from several classmates and will be incorporating them into the program.
Our date is still July 13, 2013, at the Big Red Shed, 4 miles east of town on First Street.  And this past week the Ankeny residents voted YES, to elementary school #10 or #11 (I can't keep track anymore). Ankeny is not a sleepy little town anymore, come on home this summer and have a look around.  OOH RAH  OOH RAH

Music Talk Eat

These are the three items on the agenda for our 4 Class Reunion.  Do you want to have a band?   We have found some entertainment with an AHS class member that is in a band. However, their price might be too high for what we want to do at this reunion.......We are going to have a meal catered and some type of program and time to talk..........do you want a late evening band for entertainment?  Do you want as much time as possible to sit around and visit with former classmates?  Below each post there is a place to add a comment, please do. The First Event

to celebrate 100 years of AHS Grads is this Friday, Sept 21.  It is a tailgate prior to the AHS Homecoming football game, 5 to 7 PM, under the big tent located between Northview School and the Football Stadium at 1302 N Ankeny Blvd.  Tailgate is $5. Meal served by Hy V, sandwich, chips and drink.  Tailgate and game ticket is $10.  There will be a section reserved for AHS Alums.  Also on sale will be the 100 Years of AHS Grads tee shirt for $10, they are maroon and they are GRRRREAT. The Alumni Assoc will also be selling tumblers for $10.  And a special for Friday only, pay your yearly dues at a discount rate of only $5, Sept 21 only.  Everyone paying dues will qualify for doorprizes at this event.  This will be a fun party to kick off the year long celebration of 100 year of AHS Grads, hope to see yáll at this event.  OOH RAH  OOH RAH...........
